TeliaSonera signs agreement with Stora Enso

TeliaSonera signs agreement with Stora Enso TeliaSonera has signed a two-year agreement with Stora Enso regarding delivery of a global data communications solution. Including a one-year traffic agreement regarding fixed and mobile telephony, the value of the order totals SEK 136 million. The project involves the connection of a total of 400 Stora Enso production and sales units in Europe, North America and Asia. Just over half of these are located in the Nordic countries. The solution is based on TeliaSonera's new, global product DataNet International, which is a combination of TeliaSonera's own pan-Nordic VPN service and Infonet's global network. "Thanks to our pan-Nordic service and our share in Infonet, we can fulfil our customer's wishes regardless of where in the world they happen to be located," says Harri Koponen, Deputy CEO of TeliaSonera. The agreement also includes a number of value-adding services, such as Internet access and web hosting. The solution is such that Stora Enso at any time can change over to using IP telephony. TeliaSonera also assumes full responsibility for supervision and service of the communications solution. The traffic agreement includes teleconference services for Stora Enso's operations in Sweden.
