TeliaSonera strengthens management in Eurasia

TeliaSonera’s Head of Investor Relations, Martti Yrjö-Koskinen, has been appointed Senior Vice President TeliaSonera Eurasia and will assume his new position on October 1, 2008. He will keep the position as Head of Investor Relations until a successor has assumed the position.

In his new position, Martti Yrjö-Koskinen will be a member of the leadership team of TeliaSonera business area Eurasia. In addition to other management responsibilities he will be responsible for communications within Eurasia. He will report to Tero Kivisaari, President business area Eurasia.

In Eurasia TeliaSonera participates in attractive, fast-growing and very profitable markets. TeliaSonera will continue to look for opportunities in this part of the world and the appointment of Martti Yrjö-Koskinen will further strengthen the leadership team in Eurasia. Martti Yrjö-Koskinen has been Head of TeliaSonera Investor Relations since May 2005. Previously he has held various positions within the Group’s corporate finance and treasury departments. He joined TeliaSonera in 2000.

The search for a new Head of Investor Relations is already under way. Martti Yrjö-Koskinen will keep the responsibility for Investor Relations until a successor has assumed the position.
