The Swedish Agency for Administrative Development (Statskontoret) has carried out five procurement rounds that have resulted in five separate framework agreements for TeliaSonera Sweden for the public sector in Sweden. TeliaSonera Sweden was the only supplier to be entrusted to provide telecom and datacom services in accordance with all five framework agreements. The five agreements cover the provision of communications equipment for voice and associated services, mobile communications, communications as a service, fixed line operator services and a 24-hour service.

The agreement for the first two areas is valid for 24 months with the option to extend it another 24 months. In the last three areas, the agreements are for a 36-month period with the option to extend for another 24 months. The agreements cover TeliaSonera’s entire range of products and services and are effective July 1, 2005. The framework agreements are for all Swedish government departments and authorities, as well as for the majority of municipalities and county councils in Sweden. “We are strong and competitive in each single area,” says Erik Heilborn, head of the Business Segment at TeliaSonera Sweden. “We have the ability to provide services and products within all five areas and we have a well functioning service organization.”
