TeliaSonera Sweden signs agreement with Swedbank
TeliaSonera Sweden signs agreement with Swedbank Swedbank (FöreningsSparbanken) and the independent savings banks in Sweden have chosen TeliaSonera to provide a new communications platform comprising data networks, fixed and mobile telephony, connections for telephony, and service contracts. The agreement is for a three-year period. Swedbank and the independent savings banks have 825 branch offices in Sweden, making them one of the absolute biggest customers for telephony service in Sweden. The banks previously used different providers for telephony and data communications, but with the new agreement, they will buy all their services from TeliaSonera Sweden. Swedbank's current datacom solution will be migrated to a modern functional environment based on MPLS technology, which supports IP telephony, among other applications. "We are naturally very pleased to have won one of the biggest customers in the Swedish market," says Dan Strömberg, head of Corporate Global Accounts at TeliaSonera. "TeliaSonera offers attractive prices for telephony and provides excellent network coverage for mobile telephony.
