– agreement with Swedish construction and real estate management company provides solid platform for future customer growth

TeliaSonera has signed an agreement to provide digital television, telephony and broadband – what is called triple-play service – to JM’s future housing projects in Sweden. The agreement, which is one in series of similar contracts that have been awarded to TeliaSonera in the past few months, is estimated to be worth approximately SEK 85 million over a three-year period.

JM will go all the way and connect its future housing projects by fibre optic cable. Each apartment unit will be able to have a broadband connection up to 100 Mbit/s, as well as access to broadband telephony and digital television.

The agreement with JM is one in a series of contracts that TeliaSonera has signed in recent months with residential construction and real estate management companies in Sweden. In addition to the exclusive agreement with JM, framework agreements have been signed with NCC, HSB, Peab and Akelius Fastigheter. The agreements can be utilised in all new production of residential units all over Sweden. The agreements with HSB and Akelius also cover the companies’ existing housing units.

“Over the past few months we have experienced a breakthrough in business with a number of Sweden’s construction and real estate management companies. Today, we have agreements with five of the important companies in the country, which provide us with a stable platform for future customer growth,” says Erik Hallberg, Head of Broadband Services in Sweden at TeliaSonera.

“Broadband has become the nerve centre of the modern home and those who rent or own apartments are increasingly demanding higher speeds and a broader range of services,” says Sören Bergström, Director of Purchasing at JM. “The agreement with Telia allows us to meet the high expectations of our customers.”
