The Chairman of the Board comments on the Minister for Financial Markets Peter Norman’s statement
In relation to the Minister for Financial Markets Peter Norman's statement today, in which he suggests that it may be reasonable for TeliaSonera's Board to work towards a time out for senior executives subject to suspected offense in order to avoid further deterioration of confidence in the company, TeliaSonera’s Chairman Anders Narvinger makes the following comment.
"The Board of Directors of TeliaSonera has been aware of the fact that a member of Group Management has been served with indictment since the end of September 2012, and is continuously following up on the question of suspicions related to TeliaSonera’s investment in Uzbekistan. In light of the ongoing investigations, the Board has not considered that any senior executive of TeliaSonera should take a time-out," said Chairman of the Board Anders Narvinger.
"We are now awaiting Mannheimer Swartling’s investigation. In the event of new information, which leads to a strengthening of the degree of suspicion against senior executives, the Board will of course consider the need for a time-out or other measures."
