“Top ten” in mobile phone sales in Telia stores in April 2006

For the first time two 3G handsets are in Telia’s top ten list of best-selling phones in Telia retail stores. The 3G phones are the Nokia 6280, which directly entered the list in fifth place, and the Samsung Z140.

The April top ten list contains a number of new mobile handsets and changes compared with last month. Nokia, Sony Ericsson and Samsung each have a new phone on the list. Last month’s No.1 phone, the Nokia 5140i, slipped to third place and was replaced by the Sony Ericsson K750i. Six out of ten mobiles on the list are camera-equipped. Six out of ten have MP3 players. “Cameras and MP3 players are starting to become standard features for many mobile customers. We also have an excellent and broad offering of television programs for mobiles, which is being demanded by our customers,” says Indra Åsander, Head of the Consumer Market at TeliaSonera Sweden.
