Two 3G handsets from Sony Ericsson topped the list of best-selling mobile phones in Telia’s retail stores in Sweden during the month of November. The K800i mobile phone is a big seller and captured first place on the list for the fourth month in a row.

For the first time, the Sony Ericsson P990i also made the list of the most popular mobile phones purchased in Telia’s retail stores. The November Top Ten list includes several mobile handsets that are featured in Telia’s ongoing Christmas campaign, indicating that the Christmas shopping season has started to pick up.

“Christmas is an important sales period and mobile phones are popular Christmas presents for the family, relatives and friends. The clearest trend that we are seeing is that people are taking the opportunity to upgrade their home broadband subscription at the same time as they are buying new mobile phones for the family,” says Indra Åsander, head of the consumer market at TeliaSonera Sweden.
