Large real estate management company signs broadband contract with Telia

Sweden's largest real estate management company signs contract with Telia for broadband services utilizing asymmetric digital subscriber line (ADSL) technology Sweden's largest real estate management company, Svenska Bostäder in Stockholm, has signed a contract with Telia for broadband services based on ASDL technology for 50,000 residential units and around 100,000 tenants. For a connection fee of SEK 975 and a monthly charge of SEK 200, tenants will be able to surf as much as they want on the Internet at 0.5 Mbit/s, a speed ten times faster than an ordinary modem. The connections can also be upgraded to 8 Mbit/s (downstream to subscribers) and 1 Mbit/s (upstream from subscribers). The monthly rate includes five e-mail addresses, five homepages and 24-hour support service. "We're very pleased with the agreement that we have just reached with Telia. Broadband will give our tenants yet another possibility for a fast Internet connection and the type of broadband services it allows," commented Charlotte Axelsson of Svenska Bostäder. "Tenants are increasingly demanding access to the Internet based on high-speed broadband technology so they can enhance their quality of living. It is important for Svenska Bostäder to be able to help the competitive situation, since our tenants are now free to choose between different operator and techniques. Telia, with its ADSL technology, is a service that should be very attractive to our tenants," she ends.
