Telia comments on County Administrative Court's verdict on UMTS case in Sweden "The decision announced today by the Swedish County Administrative Court is comprehensive in nature. Telia will study the verdict thoroughly before making any further comments," said Telia CEO Marianne Nivert in a preliminary statement "The court's reasons indicate that Telia was right about several points when it comes to our criticism of the Swedish Post and Telecom Agency's (PTS) procedures and we feel that this should have been sufficient for changing the PTS's decision. In addition, developments during the past six months have shown that Telia made the right choice in presenting a proposal that not only met technological requirements, but was also possible to implement commercially," continued Marianne Nivert. Telia's strategy for the Swedish market remains firm. Telia will focus intensively on UMTS and other technologies such as GPRS and W-LAN.
