Telia postpones rate increase for calls in the fixed network until November 1 Today, Telia decided to postpone its earlier announced decision to increase subscription rates for fixed telephony until November 1, 2001. The rate increases announced earlier were to be implemented on October 1. The increase is being postponed in order to give more time for the analysis of the extensive documentation that Telia has provided the Swedish National Post and Telecom Agency (PTS) about rate calculations and the application of the model recommended by the EU for calculating rates.
