Telia Receives Licenses in the Czech Republic

Telia Receives Licenses in the Czech Republic Telia International Carrier has been granted two licenses from the Czech Telecommunication Office to establish and operate a network and to provide telecommunications services in the Czech Republic. Telia International Carrier offers wholesale Internet, voice, managed capacity and infrastructure services through their office in Prague. Both licenses provide Telia with access to the Czech market for twenty years. -Since the Czech authorities have very high demands on new telecom operators, and since the Czech Republic has just implemented a new regulatory framework, we are both happy and proud to have received these licenses, says Lars Rydin, President of Telia International Carrier. The services are realized through a fixed telecommunications network covering the entire Czech region. Telia International Carrier already holds a license that enables it to provide leased-line-based services. -Telia´s strong global presence combined with new technology brings many opportunities for growth in the Czech telecommunications and IT markets.
