Telia Sells shares in Vodafone

Telia Sells shares in Vodafone Telia has today sold the remaining 66,5 million of the shares in Vodafone. The total proceeds from the sale of this block is approximately SEK 1.6 billion. When the Irish telecoms operator Eircom disposed of its mobile business, Eircell, the shareholders of Eircom were offered shares in Vodafone as consideration. Telia, which indirectly holds 14 p.c. of Eircom, consequently on May 13 received 146.5 million Vodafone shares. On May 20 Telia sold the others 80 million Vodafone shares, receiving proceeds of approximately SEK 1.9 billion.
