Redemption of shares in Teligent AB The final day for the trading in redemption shares is expected to be 11 September 2003 and payment of the redemption amount is expected to take place on 19 September 2003 The final date of the registration period for participation in Teligent's redemption programme was 16 May 2003. The offer entitled Teligent's shareholders the right to redeem every fifth share against a redemption amount of SEK 20 per share. Applications were received for the redemption of 3,868,519 shares, equivalent to a total redemption amount of approximately MSEK 77.4. The reduction in Teligent's share capital and share premium reserve, resolved at the Annual General Meeting held on 8 April 2003, was registered with the Swedish Patent and Registration Office on 28 May 2003 and approved by Handen District Court on 19 August 2003. The payment for the redeemed shares is expected to take place on approximately 19 September 2003 and the final date for trading in redemption shares in Teligent on Stockholmsbörsen is expected to be 11 September 2003. Teligent has applied to the the Swedish National Tax Board to issue a General Advisory as regards the manner in which the acquisition value of the Teligent share, prior to separation of the redemption right, should be apportioned between the redemption right and the share. The National Tax Board's General Advisory on this matter will be communicated by Teligent via press release and this information will also be on the National Tax Board's website.
