Teligent launches Pre-Paid Broker at 3GSM World Congress

Enhanced rating for existing mobile pre-paid systems Teligent launches Pre-Paid Broker at 3GSM World Congress Teligent (Stockholmsbörsens O-list) launches today at the 3GSM World Congress in Cannes, a solution for real-time rating within existing mobile pre-paid systems: the Teligent Pre-Paid Broker. Pre-paid is an important element of most mobile carriers offering and the pre-paid alternative is the dominating subscription form in several networks. Nevertheless, many legacy pre-paid systems struggle with the challenges in meeting the demand of new types of service. With the increasing development of new services aimed at mobile users, there follows a need for both carrier and external content providers to secure remuneration from mobile pre-paid users who use a specific service, e.g. mobile terminated SMS/MMS such as information requests, ring tones or multimedia clips. The Teligent solution, based on the middleware platform Teligent P90/E, solves real-time rating and charging of advanced services for the existing customers in the carrier's legacy pre-paid system. No changes to the existing pre-paid system are required when adding the Teligent Pre-Paid Broker.
