Dr Yohei Jinno receives the 2018 Eklund Foundation Scholarship

The 2018 Eklund Foundation Scholarship for the promotion of odontological research is awarded to Dr Yohei Jinno. Joel Eklund, Chairman of the Eklund Foundation, delivered the scholarship of SEK 150,000 (approximately EUR 15,000) at the Malmö University conferment of new doctors and inauguration of new professors.

"I am very pleased to receive this scholarship which enables me to continue my research in Malmö for another two years", said Dr. Yohei Jinno at the festive ceremony in Malmö Live Concert Hall on 19 October.

Dr Jinno's project, Development of a custom-made Guided Bone Regeneration technique for implant placement using CAD/CAM fabricated PEEK (poly-ether-ether-ketone) material, is conducted at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Oral Medicine under the supervision of Dr Jonas P. Becktor.

The scholarship was instituted to promote odontological research with a focus on oral health at the Faculty of Odontology at Malmö University and has been distributed by the Eklund Foundation since 2017.
