Keeping your mouth clean and fresh is not just about good looks. The quality of your oral hygiene affects your oral health, as well as your ability to eat and chew what you like and to confidently smile and interact with people.

As you may know, poor oral hygiene is the cause of gum inflammation, which may progress into periodontitis, a condition affecting the supporting bone around the teeth. The development of gum disease can go on unnoticed for years.

However, this problem doesn’t concern just your mouth. Today there is convincing scientific support that periodontitis is linked to other diseases that affect your whole body, such as heart disease and type 2 diabetes. Therefore, taking care of your oral health is actually an investment in your overall well-being.

Remember – you don’t need to be an expert yourself. Let your dental professional guide you to the ideal oral hygiene routine in line with your preferences and needs!
