TePe joins the UNOPS Global Innovation Centre Sweden in a collaborative partnership
TePe joins the UNOPS Global Innovation Centre Sweden (UNOPS GIC) in a collaborative partnership and becomes a member of the UNOPS GIC Sweden community.
Taking action to combat climate change and its impacts is one of the greatest challenges of our time. To tackle the challenge and reach the UN Sustainable development goals we need to work together.
“At TePe we want to engage in partnerships where we see an opportunity to make a real impact. We are very excited to be part of the UNOPS GIC Sweden Community. It is our strong belief that by sharing knowledge working together we can contribute to a positive development,” says Helena Ossmer Thedius, Marketing and Innovation Director at TePe.
The UNOPS GIC Sweden is one of three GICs that currently exist around the world. The GIC’s run global challenges to find the most innovative and high impact startups in the world. The GIC offers unique insights into SDGs, access to UN innovation needs and global markets, as well as pilots to make the startups get their innovations into the field. It does focus on the UN specific strengths and tries to be a portal for the innovation system to international markets and the UN system. The aim of GICs is to advance innovation and private sector involvement as well as to relevage new technologies with concrete impact to help bridge the gap to achieve the Global Goals.
"The GICs create a unique global innovation network with an expertise in the SDGs and an insightful closeness to the market needs, especially in the developing world," says Jonas Michanek, Centre Manager, Global Innovation Centre Sweden.
