TerraNet and Bitcraze in partnership within positioning
TerraNet and Bitcraze have initiated a partnership to develop new smart positioning solutions for various industrial applications. By using TerraNet's software for intelligent machine-to-machine communication and awareness connectivity and Bitcraze's 3D positioning and navigation system, new features will be developed to support connectivity, positioning and navigation with high precision in environments where traditional positioning techniques are insufficient.
Most location or positioning applications today use a combination of GPS (Global Positioning Systems) or mobile networks to determine position and deliver location data.
TerraNet's positioning algorithms allow for reliable location and positioning of machines and people in both outdoor and indoor environments, with or without access to mobile networks and GPS. TerraNet has developed a unique software that enables intelligent machine-to-machine communication and streaming of data, including broadband demanding HD media, regardless of mobile networks or other hot spot-dependent networks. www.terranet.se
Bitcraze develops and manufactures unmanned quadcopters called Crazyflie. Bitcraze provides supporting infrastructure and development tools to enable end-users to customize their own Crazyflie. Bitcraze has developed a 3D positioning application – Loco Positioning System - for the quadcopters which is a local positioning system that can find the absolute 3D position of an object with an accuracy in the 10 centimeter range. www.bitcraze.com
