Henri Mäenalanen, M.Sc. (engineering), born in 1983, is appointed as the Chief Operating Officer of Terveystalo Healthcare Services as of 12 April 2023 as Siina Saksi moves to a new position outside the company. Mäenalanen has worked in Terveystalo in several key roles since 2016, most recently as the Director of Operations, responsible for resource and network management. Before this, he held several management positions in the retail industry.
- For almost ten years, Siina Saksi has led the core of our business, the medical clinic network, where thousands of our professionals meet more than one million of our individual customers every year. During this time, our network has grown rapidly. At the same time, Siina has built a strong and resilient team around her and has successfully steered our network through many challenges, such as the Covid-19 pandemic. She has led our network with determination, empathy, and a purposeful attitude. It is wonderful to see that there is a demand for the expertise Siina has built at Terveystalo outside the company as well. I would like to warmly thank Siina for her valuable work for our professionals and customers and wish her all the best in her next assignment, says Terveystalo CEO Ville Iho.
- I warmly welcome Henri Mäenalanen to our Executive Team. Our profit improvement program is progressing rapidly since its launch last fall. I am happy that we can promote Henri, who has played a key role in the program with impressive results, to the role of Chief Operating Officer of our Healthcare Services business. He has an excellent can-do attitude, knows the operational logic of healthcare well, and has successfully led challenging change projects during his career. He will now play an even more significant role in further developing our core business and guiding it towards the next era of healthcare, continues Iho.
- It has been an honour to be able to build Terveystalo for almost ten years together with a superb team. During this time, Terveystalo's medical clinic network has grown to cover the whole of Finland with 360 medical clinics and eighteen hospitals and is highly appreciated by customers and the thousands of professionals collaborating with us, says Siina Saksi.
- Terveystalo has always inspired me to work with extreme motivation and I have tried to share the enthusiasm around me as well. The most important thing for me has always been people: my own team, Terveystalo's skilled professionals, and customers. Now is the right moment for me to continue the journey forward, and I strongly believe that Terveystalo has a bright future ahead, she continues.
- I am incredibly happy about the career path and the new opportunity offered by Terveystalo, says Henri Mäenalanen.
- I know the core of Terveystalo's business well, and this gives us a good starting point to move our operations forward. We have strong demand, customers value our services, our work communities have a great spirit, and we share a strong value base. The megatrends supporting the demand for our services, combined with Terveystalo's core healthcare expertise and ability to utilize technology, will offer us new opportunities in the future, he continues.
The responsibility of the Chief Operating Officer will immediately be transferred to Henri Mäenalanen, and Siina Saksi will continue to support him until the summer to ensure a smooth transition.
