Terveystalo strengthens its expertise in therapy services by acquiring Sivupersoona Oy, which offers speech therapy and speech impairment and sign language interpretation services

Terveystalo acquires Sivupersoona Oy, which offers speech therapy and speech impairment and sign language interpretation services, with an agreement dated 31 August 2021. All persons employed by the company will transfer to Terveystalo as former employees and operations will continue in the current premises.
Sivupersoona Oy, founded in 2003, is a pioneer in its field in Finland. Sivupersoona’s services are available in Finland's largest cities and their surroundings through digital services throughout Finland. The company employs 115 professionals in sign language and speech impairment interpretation, teaching of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) methods and speech therapy. The revenue of Sivupersoona in 2020 was approximately EUR 3.5 million. The company provides services mainly to KELA, but also to municipalities and private customers. The deal supports Terveystalo's goal to strengthen its service offering in growing specialties, which also include speech therapy services.
