FORT WORTH, TX — On November 15th, the Propane Council of Texas (ProCOT) will showcase the benefits of cleaner-burning, American-made propane autogas at the Texas Equipment and Technology Show at the Texas Motor Speedway. The annual show is put on by the Texas chapter of the Rocky Mountain Fleet Management Association, a nonprofit fleet industry organization.

The Texas Equipment and Technology Show, now in its third year, draws fleet professionals from across the state. Attendees will have the opportunity to experience propane autogas up close, speak with propane marketers and win a wide range of prizes, including a ride around the Great American Speedway. The Rocky Mountain Fleet Management Association (RMFMA) services Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Utah and Nevada. Providing fleet professionals with education, resources and networking, RMFMA currently represents approximately 1,300 fleet professionals and suppliers.

“We’re excited to be able to speak with fleet owners and operators about how propane autogas could benefit them,” said Jackie Mason, Education & Marketing Director for the Propane Council of Texas. “By choosing propane autogas, many fleets cut their fuel costs anywhere from one-third to one-half. Plus, autogas is domestically produced, environmentally friendly and easier on your vehicle’s engine.”

The Propane Council of Texas (ProCOT) will be displaying a City of Fort Worth propane-powered pick-up truck from ROUSH CleanTech, a division of ROUSH Enterprises that partners with Ford to produce OEM trucks and vans powered by propane autogas. Like Fort Worth, many cities and local governments across Texas are choosing cleaner-burning propane, including the City of San Antonio, the City of Temple and Haltom City. Not only does propane autogas conserve taxpayer dollars with its fuel savings, but drivers also report decreased maintenance.

The Propane Council of Texas (ProCOT) is participating in the Texas Equipment and Technology Show as part of its Propane Autogas: Fueling Texas campaign. The public awareness campaign has traveled across the state to educate Texans about the benefits of running vehicles and mowers on clean-burning propane autogas.
