Textron Defense Systems Names Randy Kosinski Vice President, Customer Solutions

Wilmington, Mass. — JULY 24, 2012 — Textron Defense Systems, an operating unit of Textron Systems, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, announced today that Randy Kosinski has been named vice president, customer solutions, reporting to senior vice president and general manager Ellen Lord. In this role, Kosinski will manage Textron Defense Systems’ new business identification and pursuit activities, infusing the company’s short-, mid- and long-term strategic planning process with domestic and international opportunities.

Kosinski brings 30 years of program management and leadership successes to his new role at Textron Defense Systems. During 25 years as a U.S. Air Force officer and acquisition leader, he served in multiple weapon system program offices within the Air Force Materiel Command and on Pentagon staff. Kosinski held executive leadership positions in the development and production of such Air Force systems as the F-22 Raptor, the F-117 Nighthawk and the F-15E Strike Eagle. After his retirement in 2007, Kosinski served as Camber Corporation’s director of Dayton, Ohio, operations and Air Force business development lead.

“My location in Dayton, the home of the Air Force Research Lab and Air Force’s new Life Cycle Management Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, will help me stay closely attuned to our customers’ current and anticipated future needs,” says Kosinski. “Working alongside our talented team at Textron Defense Systems’ Wilmington headquarters, we will be able to craft solutions that meet those requirements innovatively and affordably.”

A certified professional engineer, Kosinski holds masters degrees in strategic studies and business administration, as well as a bachelors degree in aerospace engineering. He also is a Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt. In addition, Kosinski is a sought-after lecturer on acquisition topics at both national and international venues.
