Kohler Co. Adds Platinum to line of KOHLER Original Recipe Chocolates

The company’s first dual-layered filled-shell launches this July offering a perfect blend of brown sugar caramel and pecan praline, wrapped in a dark chocolate shell

KOHLER, Wis.—July 24, 2013— Kohler Co. is proud to unveil Platinum, its newest mouth-watering addition to its successful line of KOHLER Original Recipe Chocolates. This beautifully-crafted piece of edible artwork is the first dual-layered filled-shell addition to the ensemble of chocolates offered by the leading manufacturer of kitchen & bath plumbing products and made its debut at this year’s Fancy Food Show in New York City. The Platinum is filled with one layer of brown sugar caramel and a second layer of pecan praline, wrapped in a 63 percent dark chocolate shell.

Each Platinum is made at the Craverie Chocolatier Café at The American Club resort in Kohler, Wisconsin. The Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five-Diamond resort, owned by Kohler Co., is home to world-renowned Championship golf courses, Forbes Five-Star Kohler Waters Spa, and artfully-crafted chocolates.

The pecan praline is handmade by DeFendi and her staff by combining homemade caramel with the same roasted, salted pecans used in the signature Original Buttery Terrapin, which launched the KOHLER Original Recipe Chocolate line in 2007. The dark chocolate outer-shell is delicately air-brushed with a brilliant platinum color.
