BERKSHIRE SCHOOLWEAR CENTRE FINALIST IN LOCAL CUSTOMER SERVICE AWARDS

One of the UK’s leading schoolwear suppliers, the John Cheatle Group, has opened a Schoolwear Centre in Bracknell, to serve the needs of schools all over Berkshire and beyond – and the centre has already been a finalist in Bracknell’s recent customer service awards.

The Berkshire Schoolwear Centre supplies independent and state schools and is situated in the centre of Bracknell at the Gallery on Princess Square. The Outstanding Service to Customers Awards, or OSCAs, are run annually by the Bracknell Regeneration Partnership, and the schoolwear centre was a finalist in the Independent Retailer Award.

The John Cheatle Group took over the retail outlet when the previous owner retired, and retained the existing staff, promoting Lynn Daborn to branch manager and Natalie Oram from part-time to full-time employment as assistant manager. In line with the Group’s other schoolwear centres around the UK, till technology improvements were made, along with more effective stock control and an improved shop layout for customers.

John Cheatle Group’s managing director Justin Cheatle said the intention was to develop the schoolwear and school sportswear business across Berkshire: “We will provide an excellent service to the parents of pupils at all local schools. We want the Berkshire Schoolwear Centre to become a household name with families, and the marque of great service and value.”

The John Cheatle Group is theUK’s largest supplier of schoolwear to the independent schools sector. Berkshire Schoolwear Centre is the most southerly of the Group’s 35 retail outlets around the UK.
