Tudor Hall School Takes on New PE Kit and a Shop!

Tudor Hall School in Oxfordshire has established its own school shop – with the help of the John Cheatle Group.

Previously supplied with uniforms through one of John Cheatle Group’s retail outlets, D&P in Nottingham, the school decided that having its own shop on the premises would bring a number of benefits, not least of which was the convenience for parents and pupils of being able to try items on before buying.

Although the shop itself is relatively compact, and a limited amount of stock is kept on-site, efficient stock and ordering systems now mean that uniforms can be ordered through the shop and delivered to the shop for easy collection by parents or pupils.

Tudor Hall liked the new system so much it decided to source its PE kit through John Cheatle as well, and a good quality selection through specialist sportswear supplier, Samurai, is now being enjoyed by pupils for a wide range of sports.

The school shop is open twice a week and managed by Lucy Miesegaes, who is also a parent at the school. She commented: “When parents discover we have the on-site shop they tell us it makes their lives much easier. The girls can try things on and parents can even pay by card at a distance, without having to come in at all. We also take general enquiries and I’ve even been known to sew on a few name tapes!”

Lucy is looking forward to next year’s peak fitting time, as she knows there will be no reason for any pupil at the school not to have correctly fitted uniform. The Tudor Hall experience is a great example of the flexibility schools can enjoy through being supplied by the John Cheatle Group, the largest supplier to the independent schools sector.
