Royal Visit To Support The Pembrokeshire Pasty Announced

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall are to visit The Pembrokeshire Pasty & Pie Co. in Tenby on Wednesday 30th June. In what is hoped will be a fun media event, Their Royal Highnesses are to be invited to sample and compare the ancient Pembrokeshire Pasty with The Cornish Pasty. The Pembrokeshire Pasty recipe was resurrected earlier this year by The Pembrokeshire Pasty & Pie Co. and is distinctly different to the Cornish. Organisers hope a Royal taste comparison will celebrate the importance and value of regional distinctions, pride and produce over any regional jealousies ignited by the launch of The Pembrokeshire in March. A Cornish pasty producer has been invited to attend to offer their best pasties. The Royal taste comparison will take place outside the shop and media are invited to attend.
