THE MARKETING GROUP PLC: Appointment of New Executive Chairman

LONDON: 12 March 2019 – The Marketing Group plc (the “Company” or the “Group”), which trades as RYVL, announces that following the completion of the acquisition of Blockchain Nordic, Jesper Ohlenschlaeger has been appointed as the Company’s Executive Chairman and Interim Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect. Jesper Ohlenschlaeger replaces Adam Graham who has resigned from the Board to pursue other business opportunities.

Jesper Ohlenschlaeger is a serial entrepreneur with achievements in private equity environments and a variety of sectors, having started over 20 companies in the last 25 years. He holds considerable international experience, having lived and worked in a number of countries, as well as internationalising domestic companies. He has expertise in business strategy, turnaround, M&A and the achievement of profitable growth and value for investors. A lawyer by education, he has worked exclusively within the blockchain industry since 2017, including as Chief Executive Officer of Blockchain Nordic.

Following this change the Board of the Company will comprise Jesper Ohlenschlaeger (Executive Chairman and Interim Chief Executive Officer), Nic Hellyer (Non-Executive Director) and Sean Gogarty (Non-Executive Director). It is the Board’s intention to split the roles of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, through the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer, in due course.
