DoubleTree by Hilton Pittsburgh-Green Tree Opens Officially Today
$16 Million Transformation Follows
Pittsburgh, PA – November 15, 2011 – RIDA Development Corporation and CAM Hospitality Management today celebrated the official opening of the DoubleTree by Hilton Pittsburgh-Greentree in Pittsburgh, Pa., now the newest and largest Pittsburgh-area hotel currently available to travelers within the Hilton Worldwide portfolio. The property team, designers, builders, owners and investors celebrated the hotel’s new name and new direction during a brand dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony today; while showcasing the features of the upcoming $16 million renovation, design and renderings with local civic and business leaders and invited guests. Formerly the Radisson Pittsburgh-Green Tree, the hotel refurbishment project is expected to be complete by the end of 2012.

The 465-room DoubleTree by Hilton Pittsburgh-Green Tree, located minutes from downtown Pittsburgh and area attractions, will welcome guests with a striking new lobby evoking the feel of a grand mountain lodge before introducing the signature dining experience, Seasons The Restaurant. An upscale sports bar, Champions Club, creates the perfect ambiance for guests staying in the “City of Champions,” while on-the-go food options are available at Bistro Marketplace with a fresh European styled menu and coffee bar.
Aside from the fresh new look of all spaces in the hotel, the interior design palate will represent the four seasons. Incorporating pops of color with varying tones of taupe while prints and patterns of outdoor elements from the Pittsburgh area are brought inside. A powerhouse team of experienced hospitality talent has been brought together for the DoubleTree by Hilton Pittsburgh-Green Tree conversion and renovation. Renowned interior design company Looney & Associates leads the re-design, with RIDA Development Corporation, one of the country’s leading hotel developers, overseeing the transformation of the property. CAM Hospitality Management has been awarded the management contract. The hotel will be operated under a franchise management agreement with a subsidiary of Hilton Worldwide.
