NAE’s 2011 Award Nominations Extended to December 31, 2010

The National Association of Entrepreneurship announced to today that its 2011 award nominations will be extended to accommodate member requests. NAE will accept nominations from members through December 31, 2010.  Awards are presented at the 2011 Free Enterprise Forum in New Orleans. The NAE 250 Award Committee will not consider any nomination received after the new date.

“The NAE awards recognize the best of American Business,” says Robert Sturm, NAE Board Member and Professional Travel CEO.  “Our members can nominate any great company, and the committee will have a tough job comparing them.  It’s a big task to undertake.” 

THE NAE 250 selects five finalist companies in each state who excel in one of five categories.  These companies are selected from winners of the NAE 250 Regional Awards.  Categories include: 

  1. Innovators – Products (Building America) & Services (Taking Care of America)
  2. Socially Exceptional - Community Service
  3. Power Growth – Achieving Exceptional Growth
  4. People First – Success Through Culture
  5. Fast Under Five – New Companies Who Have Exploded into the Mid-Markets

THE NAE PRECEPTOR AWARDS include three categories:

  1. Educator of the Year – Teaching a Passion for Free Enterprise
  2. Influencer -  Professional Consultants Who've Made a Difference
  3. Writing the Fight – Authors Who Champion Free Enterprise

Ten finalists in each category will be nominated nationally, all award winners will be recognized at the Free Enterprise Forum, with the top Award Winner in each category receiving a “NAE Preceptor of the Year Award.” 

CHAMPIONS OF FREE ENTERPRISE LEGENDS AWARDS:  Any NAE member can nominate a person for these lifetime awards.  To be nominated, a person must be recognized in their field as someone who has been at the forefront of Free Enterprise.  Nominees must be exceptional entrepreneurs at the top of their field. 

BEATING THE ODDS AWARDS:  Winners will consist of 10 finalists selected from a national nomination pool; all are award winners and will be recognized at the Free Enterprise Forum. The top Award Winner will receive the “NAE Comeback of the Year Award.”
