An apprentice secures permanent position to the North East BIC
An apprentice has secured a permanent position at The North East Business and Innovation Centre (BIC) ahead of completing his studies.
Chris Brown, from Sunderland, finishes his business administration apprenticeship next month and has already been offered a permanent place at the BIC as an Administration Officer.
Chris, 19, first came to the BIC in 2011 whilst studying for his NVQ with Milltech Training, Chris explains: “I chose to do an apprenticeship after school because I think it’s a great way to achieve on the job experience as well as gaining my qualifications.
“I really enjoy working at the BIC and within my team it has given me a lot of confidence; we are like a little family and I am so pleased I have been taken on permanently.”
The BIC’s Chief Executive and Chairman of North East Enterprise Agencies Ltd (NEEAL), Paul McEldon added: “Chris is a wonderful example of illustrating that if you put in the hard work you will reap the benefits. Chris is proving to be a valuable member of the team and I look forward in continuing to watch him grow and develop.
