The North East Business and Innovation Centre (BIC), a regional enterprise agency and business complex, is continuing to grow with the appointment of two new members of staff.

Carol Rogers, from High Barnes, has joined the BIC as receptionist. The newly renovated reception will see Carol welcoming clients and visitors through the main doors. Carol has over 12 years experience in customer services previously working for Durham County Council. Carol said:

“After being made redundant in my previous role I was over the moon to be appointed here at the BIC. I love meeting and greeting and always aim to give a warm welcome to everyone I cross paths with. When I heard I was successful and the job was mine I started to cry.
“I love being at the BIC and I can honestly say I have never worked with such a friendly bunch of staff. It is a pleasure to come to work.”
Lynn McGrath, from Low Fell, also joins the BIC as a Telecom and IT administrator. Lynne’s role will see her administer all telecom network equipment including setting up new tenants across the 14 acre site. Lynn said:

“After only two weeks of being here I already feel settled, it is such a relaxed, pleasant atmosphere. I knew of the fantastic reputation the BIC has and to be part of it is wonderful.
“Everyone wants to help and I look forward to my future with the company.”

The BIC’s Chief Executive Paul McEldon said: “It is always nice to begin the year welcoming new colleagues onboard, I wish Carol and Lynn all the very best in helping to maintain the BIC’s excellent reputation in the business community.”
