OHBA Announces Awards of Distinction Winners for 2012
September 25, 2012… Collingwood, Ontario – The Minto Group, captured top honours when it was named 2012 Ontario Home Builder of the Year by the Ontario Home Builders’ Association (OHBA). The GTA/Ottawa-based builder excels in its pursuit of energy efficient, innovative building practices and creative approaches to sales and marketing. As well, judges were impressed with Minto’s support of post-secondary education in the province, including over $1 million donated to the University of Waterloo Faculty of Environment and $2.5 million donated to the University of Ottawa athletics. The Minto Foundation donates to over 200 charities each year and the company facilitates employee volunteerism through paid volunteer leaves and matching employee pledges to various causes.
The coveted award is presented to the company that demonstrates the highest levels of performance based on stringent judging criteria in the areas of sales and marketing excellence, unique floor plan design, community service, support of the industry and its ability to adapt to changing needs. Ontario Home Builder of the Year is among 34 categories in the OHBA Awards of Distinction program which honours innovation and excellence in the areas of design and sales and marketing.
