Having completed the IPC-A-610 Application Specialist course for Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies, the four apprentices at JJS Electronics, who commenced the company’s comprehensive, two year, programme in September 2011, have received their ‘Certified IPC Specialist’ certificates.

IPC-A-610,   is the most widely used global standard for the Acceptance of Electronic   Assemblies and defines end product acceptance criteria for electronic   assemblies from consumer through to high reliability products. Russell   Poppe, Group Director of Engineering said “This is part of our on-going   commitment to training and quality and developing our own pipeline of skilled   engineers for the future. In order to achieve the certificate the apprentices   had to complete a technically comprehensive programme covering soldering,   terminal Connections, through hole and surface mount technology assemblies as   well as understanding the goals and principles of IPC-A- 610. We are   delighted with their progress and they should be very proud of their  achievements so far.”
