In the Nordic countries a well noted trend has been the increase of both terrorist attacks and plots, something that we up until now fortunately have not seen much of. The fact that the Nordic countries have undergone a change from a support area of terrorism into a target of terrorist attacks has led to a clear change in the threat picture[1][2]. The authorities in the different countries have acted upon this, in various degrees. Government and military installations, as well as embassies, industries, power plants and other potential targets are being secured as we speak.
