Friday, February 18th, 2011—NBA All Star weekend kicked off in Los Angeles, CA as Sean “Diddy” Combs hosted the highly anticipated “Diddy and Ciroc invade Hollywood” event at legacy club Avalon. 1 Society and TPGPR joined forces to put together a phenomenal party that would start the 2011 NBA All Star weekend off right. Even with the rain and traffic that flooded into Los Angeles, even these circumstances did not stop Diddy’s invasion.

As celebrities filled the blue carpet and Ciroc filled the bars, everyone from fans to media to peers eagerly awaited for Diddy’s arrival. As the Hollywood business mogul himself stepped onto the media frenzied carpet at approximately 12:15 AM, he was quickly whisked away after photo ops to his table on stage, an exclusive area filled with Ciroc and his past cover of Vibe Magazine. When Diddy finally took the stage, the crowd erupted, sweeping the venue with a crazy wave of excitement. Diddy seemed at home and was all smiles as he reached out to the crowd, holding a microphone in one hand and a Ciroc bottle in the other.

Even better, the night was filled with surprises and treats for the audience. Not only did Diddy announce the name of his new cocktail, the “Nino Brown”, but Boost Mobile, featured sponsor of the evening, gave Power 106’s lucky radio winner the newest feature phone with a year plan provided. In addition, a silent auction was showcased inside Avalon’s halls and Bardot’s Vip Lounge to help raise money for the Josh Howard Foundation. All the while, DJ Play n Skillz and DJ Rush (KGGI) FM tore up the sound system for the swarming dance floor.

To top it all off, the event was enjoyed by Hollywood’s hottest celebrities. While Stevie Wonder joined the crowd to support Diddy’s event, Lil’ Wayne soon took position up in the DJ booth with DJ Rush to do the same. Fans, celebrities, and peers came together from all over to make this All Star Weekend event truly a success, and spirits were an all time high.
