 Christopher Guy opens new showroom in the New York Design Center 

Los Angeles, CA. (June 2013)- Christopher Guy, world renowned furniture designer and creator of the world’s most fabulous lifestyles has opened a new flagship showroom in the iconic and historic New York Design Center (NYDC). The fabulous 20,000 square foot showroom will bring the Christopher Guy experience to New York City and will be a real showcase of style, elegance and excitement.

The Christopher Guy showroom which is located on the penthouse floor of the NYDC will strengthen the brand’s offering to designers and architects in one of the world’s largest metropolitan areas.  The showroom will showcase Christopher Guy's latest collections within an exquisite environment that includes three suites, each portraying varying lifestyles. Among these collections is the newly expanded Mademoiselle Collection which debuted at the Spring 2013 High Point Market. Mademoiselle is a lifestyle collection that evokes sumptuous and flirtatious elegance, it teases with its subtle, coy forms and allures you in to a prestigious world as if casting a spell on the room. While each piece works individually there is a harmonious design dialogue of glamour throughout.

The interior design of the New York showroom has been created by Christopher Guy Harrison, award-winning internationally renowned designer, CEO and founder of the Christopher Guy brand. Guests will be amazed by the 225 foot long furniture runway which showcases a number of pieces and features beautiful cove ceilings, state of the art lighting, fantastically scaled reeded columns, seamless high polish white glass floors and a chained glass wall. "It's simply fabulous and an honor to be able to add the CG initials to NY with the launch of CGNY, a perfect combination, in a perfect design building, the New York Design Center,” said Christopher. “This marks the 6th major international showroom opening by Christopher Guy over the past year, and with over 20,000sq.ft, it is also the largest.”  

The showroom features the state-of-the-art fully functional Christopher Guy Design Lab, created as an ideal working environment for interior designers allowing many capabilities to complete entire design projects. Using advanced software and touch screen display, designers will be able to apply fabric and finishes to their desired furnishing pieces. The Design Lab provides many options to designers and allows them to create their entire project within one working environment.

Following the New York Showroom opening, Christopher Guy is set to launch its cutting edge new website. Developed in-house over the past 18 months, the iBuild software feature is a collection of interactive applications: iWall, iRoom and iPlan Pro, for interior designing. It allows users to view their selection of CG items side by side as hand-drawings within a room setting. With iWall, iRoom and iPlan Pro, users will see their projects home to life, in a way never experienced before. These tools are ideal for interior designers and homeowners, and set to inspire the way they interact with the website, adding their personal creativity to a Christopher Guy layout.

The opening of the New York showroom follows the successful release of the expanded Mademoiselle Collection at the Spring 2013 High Point Market and opening of the Christopher Guy Las Vegas showroom at the Las Vegas Design Center.
