Meet Tomoko Ohta – Crafoord Prize Laureate 2015, at the Crafoord Days in Sweden

Welcome to book an interview with one of this years Crafoord Prize Laureates in Biosciences, geneticist Tomoko Ohta. Together with Richard Lewontin, with whom she shares the prize, she has provided science with a more accurate picture of genetic variation and natural selection.

The Crafoord Prize is an international scientific prize awarded by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences annually according to a rotating scheme. The prize amount of SEK 6 million makes the Crafoord prize one of the world´s largest scientific prizes. This years prize was announced on 15 January, and the Laureates are Tomoko Ohta and Richard Lewontin.

Professor Richard Lewontin will not attend the Crafoord Days 2015 in person.

Lectures by invited speakers in honour of the Crafoord Prize Laureates 2015.
Professor Tomoko Ohta and leading scientists like Fred Allendorf, University of Montana, USA, Lindell Bromham, Australian National University, Australia and Deborah Charlesworth, UK. Tanja Slotte and Jochen Wolf from Stockholm University represent the younger Swedish generation scientist.
