Emmi Awarded Seven Medals in International Cheese Awards at Nantwich
The premium Swiss dairy company, Emmi, announced major wins at the International Cheese Awards, held last week at The Nantwich Show in the United Kingdom. Athletes aren’t the only ones taking home medals from the UK this summer; Emmi was awarded three gold and two silver titles for their high-end specialty cheeses.
The International Cheese Awards are one of the largest dairy shows in the world, with more than 260 classes and categories being judged, including Specialty, Continental Cheese, Convenience Cheese and Organic Dairy. Of Emmi’s top-placing cheeses, three are imported to the United States. In the Continental Cheese class, Emmi took both the gold and silver awards in the Best Swiss Cheese category with their Le Gruyère AOC (Meziere dairy) and Le Gruyère AOC (Le Mouret dairy), respectively. Additionally, Emmi’s Le Gourmet Swiss won silver in the Vegetarian Cheese category.
