Hot Beverages Top the List of Items in Demand
Donation to Benefit Food Banks in New York City; Chicago; Atlanta; Fort Worth, TX; Allentown, PA; and Riverside, CA.
(March 9, 2015 – Montvale, NJ): Today, Tetley USA announced that it is donating the equivalent of over 10 million cups of tea to food banks in need across the United States. Areas receiving the donation of Tetley’s Black and Green Tea include Food Bank New York City; Greater Chicago Food Bank; Community Food Bank of Atlanta; Second Harvest Food Bank in Allentown, PA; Tarrant Area Food Bank in Fort Worth, TX; and Second Harvest Food Bank in Riverside, CA.
One of the lesser donated items to food banks, a warm cup of tea is sure to bring a little comfort to those less fortunate during the cold weather months. Tea is commonly known as a soothing beverage with hydrating benefits. “In the midst of what is considered one of the coldest and sickest winters on record, we at Tetley are delighted to provide a little warmth and comfort to those who may be less fortunate,” said Marc Birnbaum, marketing executive at Tetley USA.
More than 150,000 boxes of Tetley tea are currently in transport to food banks across the country.
