Michel de Broin at Prospect.2 New Orleans

TORONTO – The Third of May Arts Inc. is pleased to launch a new public artwork by Michel de Broin presented as an off-site project of the international biennial Prospect.2 New Orleans, which runs October 22, 2011 to January 29, 2012. Majestic, a major new public sculpture by Michel de Broin, is a satellite-shaped structure constructed from New Orleans street lamps. It was produced and constructed in New Orleans with the assistance of local artisans, using street lamp poles and fixtures that were damaged and displaced post-Katrina.
