Tinker Spy is the sixth book in Marianne Parry’s growing collection of children’s books. Marianne, a retired primary school teacher from Harborne has previously published successful books including Tales of Wabasso, Rusty and Friends, Bruno and Little Donkey, all published since 2014.

“Through these stories I hope that children will be able to learn,” explains Marianne. “I was inspired to write this particular book after seeing a young friend’s illustration.” When she's not writing, Harborne-based Marianne dedicates her time to volunteering R.E. in local schools.

Tinker Spy tells the story of Solo, son of farmer and ex-gypsy Felice, who overhears a conversation between two men planning a robbery to take place on the forthcoming date of the annual spring fair. The men callously intend to lay the blame on a gypsy called Silas.

Tinker Spy is a thrilling adventure story, perfect for children between the ages of seven and 12. “I continue to write children’s stories because I enjoy writing so much,” adds Marianne.
