THEIA To Show Fall 2012 Collection At New York Fashion Week

New York, NY (January 25, 2012) - THEIA, a collection inspired by the Greek Goddess of light, is pleased to announce its first runway show during New York Fashion Week. Scheduled for February 15, 2012 at 3PM, the collection will be shown in conjunction with STYLE360 at the Metropolitan Pavilion South, 125 West 18th Street.

Since THEIA’s launch in Fall 2009, the collection has been showcased with informal showroom presentations. However, with each season, the collection has grown, retail distribution has steadily expanded and new categories continue to be added. “We feel that Fall 2012 will serve as the perfect time to make our runway debut,” states Mitchell Hops, CEO. He goes on to say “Showing during New York Fashion week is a natural progression for the brand. It will help increase the awareness and visibility of the collection. We see it as an opportunity to help propel THEIA to the next level.”

Turning to Greek mythology for inspiration, Don O’Neill, Creative Director of THEIA, became enthralled by the Goddess Athena for his Fall 2012 collection. “This season I want to truly empower women. Athena, the Goddess of wisdom and courage, was a valiant warrior, who fiercely protected her people and their lands. In 2012 as we face challenging times, I want to imbue the THEIA woman with this sense of power and confidence that will help her stride forward, feeling brave, beautiful, and strong,” states Don O’Neill.

The runway show will feature approximately thirty looks and will be live-streamed on www.FirstComesFashion.com, which will allow viewers from around the world to watch the show as it happens. Sponsors for the show will include Q by Pasquale shoes, BEN-AMUN jewelry, Fratelli Orsini Gloves and Dashing Diva Manicures. “We’ve partnered with amazing brands that will compliment my aesthetic and deigns. I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to showcase my collection on the runway and to the world for the first time during New York Fashion Week!” Creative Director, Don O’Neill explains.
