The Roasterie Announces Sixth Semifinalist for 20th Anniversary Photo Contest
Local air-roasted coffee company The Roasterie announces the sixth semifinalist for The Roasterie Adventure photo contest.
In honor of its 20th anniversary, Kansas City air-roasted coffee company The Roasterie has launched The Roasterie Adventure, a photo contest in which participants are entered to win trip for two for coffee bean-picking in Costa Rica and has announced the contest’s sixth semifinalist.
The Roasterie Adventure asks participants to submit a photo that portrays the Roasterie brand in day-to-day life (through the Roasterie name, logo, product, café, factory or other representation). After submitting, participants must encourage their friends, family members and loved ones to publically vote for their photo. The fourteen photos with the most votes (plus an extra winner from The Roasterie’s recent Mug Shot Photo Contest) will advance to the semifinal round. A final winner will be selected by The Roasterie staff, including Bean Baron Danny O’Neill, in July of 2013.
Every two weeks, one semifinalist is selected by online popular vote. And now, The Roasterie Adventure is thrilled to announce its sixth Roasterie Adventure semifinalist, Jason Ebberts of Overland Park, Kansas.
Jason’s photo depicts an image of The Roasterie DC-3 airplane with “coffee bean clouds”. The photo idea came to Jason after many friends and family asked him what the plane suspended above Kansas City stood for. After being asked numerous times, Jason decided to answer through one of his favorite hobbies—photography. Even the “coffee bean clouds” were edited photos of The Roasterie’s Kansas City Blend beans taken by Jason.
“Winning the trip to Costa Rica would be a once in a lifetime opportunity,” said Jason. “I would give me the ability to take my wife somewhere where we can enjoy coffee, the outdoors and just spend time together.”
Jason will join the following Roasterie Adventure semifinalists for the chance to win a bean-picking adventure in Costa Rica and other great prizes:
- Jaime Sheickert of Prairie Village, Kansas
- Mandi Anderson of Lenexa, Kansas
- Amanda Loftin of Shawnee, Kansas
- Holly Urkevich of Kansas City, Missouri
- Sara Danner of Raytown, Missouri
The Roasterie Adventure will run from January 1, 2013 until June 30, 2013. Roasterie advocates and coffee fanatics everywhere are encouraged to upload their favorite Roasterie moments via photo at TheRoasterieAdventure.com. Additionally, individuals are encouraged to participate by voting on their favorite photos here.
