Thirty-One Gifts Makes Generous Contributions for Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts Through Thirty-One Gives Initiative

(COLUMBUS, Ohio) - Direct Sales Company Thirty-One Gifts contributed $3,100 to the American Red Cross and made a retail product donation of over $200,000 to benefit Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. These donations were accomplished through their philanthropic initiative, Thirty-One Gives.

Thirty-One Gives was honored to help those suffering from loss due to Hurricane Sandy. Products donated included Blanket Buddies, Cinch Sacs, Large Utility Totes, Thermal Totes and About Town Blankets. The product donations were spread among multiple non-profit organizations; over many East Coast states and then filtered to communities directly affected by the hurricane.

“Our prayers are with those whose lives continue to be impacted by Hurricane Sandy. We wanted to help the victims, and our Thirty-One family of Customers and Consultants who were also affected, with the challenging times they face ahead,” said Wendy Bradshaw, Director of Philanthropy for Thirty-One Gives. “Thirty-One is more than a company that makes products – we’re dedicated to giving back to our communities locally and nationally.”

Thirty-One Gives was able to make those donations using funds from their newly created Thirty-One Gives Care Council. Funds to this Care Council are provided by Customers that either round-up their purchase to the nearest dollar or who purchase items from the “U R U Cause Collection,” in which 31 cents from every U R U product sold is donated.

The donations to the American Red Cross and Good 360 were the very first donations made from the Thirty-One Gives Care Council.

Wendy added, “Since the funding for this effort came from our Care Council – our wonderful Thirty-One Customers were able to join together to help this very important cause. This is what Thirty-One Gives is all about – coming together as a family to make a difference.”
