High Praise for Thomas Hardie Used Trucks from Hawk Transport!
Middlewich-based used-Volvo truck dealers Thomas Hardie Used Trucks have received high praise this month from none other than UK haulage giants Hawk Transport. The glowing 3-page review featured in December’s issue of Commercial Motors and followed the recent sale of several high-spec Volvo FH13s.
Hawk’s Transport Manager, Mike Morgan was updating his fleet from 07-plate used Volvo trucks to the newer 11-plate model, to reduce Hawk Transport’s carbon footprint and do the company’s bit for the environment. Each model was vinyl-wrapped in the latest Hawk livery, to keep the vehicles looking bang on brand – and each was fitted with a fridge for the driver’s convenience.
Each of the three trucks was a mid-lift axel 6x2 tractor unit, from Thomas Hardie’s huge range of FH13s. Hawk Transport were shopping from the sturdier stock, as all of the trucks boasted Volvo’s Euro-5 13-litre motor, delivering a powerful 460hp. Hawk Transport specialise in haulage and plant logistics, so their fleet must be as powerful as it is diverse.
Morgan also took advantage of Thomas Hardie’s new customisation service, having previously arranged for the trucks to be uprated from 44-tonne to 60-tonne GCW.
