A revolution in digital message management

The developers of Threads®, a pioneering software service, are delighted to announce that it has won a Global Business Excellence Award in their Outstanding Innovation category. Other winners announced by GBEA this week include Microsoft, Vodafone and BAe Systems.

Threads is a pioneering new software service enabling companies to capture, store and search through their digital communications more effectively than ever before. It works across all company email, voice calls and other types of message too.

“It can find connections you didn’t know existed.” Says John Yardley, the MD of JPY Ltd. “and it is a revolutionary service that is currently not available from any other application on the market. Organisations and companies that focus on projects or casework, such as law practices, architects and construction companies, will find Threads an absolute boon.”

The chairman of the judges said: “This is an intelligence software product that makes sense of the multitude of digital communications. Threads enables companies to effectively search, store and share all their digital information. Threads is a much-needed tool that makes digital communications accessible to everyone in a company. It is a godsend to productivity and will change the way we work.”

This is the second award Threads has won this year, having won a Knowledge Transfer Partnership Award (Research Council's Innovate UK) in February 2014, together with Kingston University.

JPY is running a test pilot campaign permitting a limited number of companies to trial the Threads software service for free for up to six months. Contact threads@jpy.com for more details.

JPY Plc is one of the most established software companies in the UK, starting in 1982.

When it migrated its customer records from steel cabinets to digital disks, staff noticed that the gains made in digitisation were matched by a loss in collaboration. With a filing cabinet, staff had access to a physical, paper customer file - and it was obvious when someone else was working on it. The replacement digital versions mostly ended up hidden in private user emails. Worse, despite the phenomenal searching power of computers, users still had trouble finding documents or messages.

As computer scientists working in the field of high-performance workflow, JPY were ideally placed to find a solution, and the result is a software service called Threads®.

"Threads weaves all your company's messages together, helping ensure it’s unrivalled, not unravelled." Quentin Cooper, science journalist, presenter of BBC Radio 4's Material World
