Chariot Cougar 1 named best bicycle trailer in the latest test in the Swedish consumer magazine Råd&Rön
The well reputed Swedish consumer magazine Råd&Rön appoints the multifunctional bicycle trailer Chariot Cougar 1 as Best in Test in its latest issue. With a clear margin, Chariot Cougar wins the test as a safe, maneuverable and easy to handle bicycle trailer that also meets all safety requirements.
In the last issue (No. 6, 2013) of the largest Swedish Consumer magazine, Råd&Rön (Advice & Findings), the test panel reviewed five popular models of bicycle trailers. Safety and comfort was tested, as well as ease of handling and connection to the bike.
Chariot has, for almost 20 years, been synonymous with market-leading and innovative multifunctional child carriers. The bike trailer tested by the magazine, Chariot Cougar 1, can easily and in connection with a few accessories be converted into a jogging stroller, a carrier for use in walk, a carrier to pull behind for long hiking or walking, or a child cart to carry behind you when cross-country skiing .
Råd&Rön commissioned a panel of five adults and three children to test the bike trailers over a long period of time. The tests were performed on different surfaces with different bikes. The adults had to assess how easy the carrier was to switch on and run with, the kids got to say if they were good, if the harness was soft and comfortable to wear. In addition to the field tests, the carriers’ safety and durability was thoroughly tested in a test center.
Chariot Cougar 1 comes out as a clear winner with the review - 'a safe and easy to operate and easy to handle trailer, which also meets all safety requirements.' For two of the carriers in the test the magazine issues a security warning.
