Eva Nyström, Thule Crew, one step closer to Ironman World Championship, Hawaii
After finishing second place at this weekend’s Ironman competition in Kalmar, Eva Nyström has taken one step closer towards competing at this year’s Ironman World Championship taking place in Hawaii, October 12 this autumn.
The Ironman World Championship, Hawaii Ironman, is taking place October 12, 2013. Eva Nyström, Thule Crew, has taken one step closer to qualify in to the professional class by finishing second place at Kalmar Ironman this weekend. The 35 women who has performed best in the last years qualification races around the world, will compete for the World Championship title, one of the toughest races in the world.
By finishing in second place with a time of 9:17:56 at Kalmar Ironman this weekend, Eva hope to have gathered enough points to qualify in the professional class at Hawaii Ironman.
An Iroman is a triathlon where the contestants swim 3.8km, bike 180km and run 42km, all in one stretch, with as fast transactions as possible. During the year, Eva has completed a total of three Ironman and two half Ironman competitions, all to secure a position in this year’s World Championship.
On August 25thit will be determined who will qualify to the competition on Hawaii.
