New Chief Aftermarket Officer: Simon Frick
Essen, 4 February 2025. The management of the BILSTEIN business unit (BU) will be expanded to include an additional function with effect from 1 January 2025. The newly created position of Chief Aftermarket Officer will be filled by Simon Frick, who is joining the thyssenkrupp group. This move underlines BILSTEIN’s customer-centric focus and optimises the value chain.
Since the beginning of the year, Simon Frick has been responsible for all functional areas of the aftermarket: from the initial idea, to market demand, to the finished product, everything is within his area of responsibility. This will enable BILSTEIN to better align itself with the needs of its customers and keep an eye on optimising the entire value chain.
Simon Frick has been working as a manager in the spare parts market since 2015 and contributes extensive international experience. His focus is on sales, marketing, product management, and new product development in the automotive aftermarket, with a particular emphasis on the independent aftermarket (IAM). He also has many years of international business development experience in the aftermarket for original equipment service (OES) and IAM
Before the change, Mr Frick was Senior Vice President Automotive Aftermarket AMEA at Mann+Hummel Filter Technology, Singapore, with responsibility for the aftermarket in the Asian-Pacific, Middle Eastern and African regions. Until 2023, he was in charge of various management positions at Mann+Hummel GmbH, Ludwigsburg, Germany, most recently as Senior Vice President Sales IAM Europe. Prior to that, Mr Frick gained extensive experience in Asian markets, including as Head of Sales Asia at Mahr Precision Metrology (Suzhou), China.
